Bordentown's rich history dates back to 1682, pre-dating the American Revolutionary War. Once known as Farnsworth Landing, the town was later renamed Borden's Towne and eventually Bordentown, after Colonel Joseph Borden, a pivotal figure in its development. Colonel Borden's contributions, both political and military, during the Revolutionary War era underscore the town's significance in shaping American history.
From its colonial origins to its present-day vibrancy, the Downtown Bordentown Association celebrates the enduring spirit of this historic town, inviting all to explore, indulge, and experience the legacy of Bordentown City.
